Specialized Diverge STR Expert Gravel Bike
The Specialized Diverge STR Expert is a gravel bike designed to offer maximum comfort, control, and performance even on the most challenging terrain. Thanks to the innovative front and rear Future Shock suspension system, this bike effectively absorbs vibrations and small bumps from the terrain without compromising pedaling efficiency.
The result is a fast, stable, and less tiring gravel bike, ideal for long dirt road adventures, bikepacking, and mixed routes. The FACT 11r carbon fiber frame, SRAM Rival eTap AXS Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, and Roval Terra C carbon wheels ensure high performance, precise handling, and great reliability even in the toughest conditions.
Thanks to the combination of 20 mm front suspension and 30 mm rear suspension, the Diverge STR improves control and efficiency on rough surfaces while maintaining power transfer comparable to a rigid bike.
Comfort and control with the Future Shock system
The Future Shock technology represents the evolution of the Specialized philosophy “Smoother is Faster”, meaning greater comfort to go faster and farther.
20 mm of front travel reduce vibrations on hands, arms, and shoulders
30 mm of rear travel improve stability and traction on rough terrain
Hydraulic damping that eliminates the “bobbing” effect under load
This means that even on cobblestones, gravel, and dirt roads, the pedaling remains efficient and smooth, without energy loss.
More capable and versatile gravel
The Diverge STR Expert is designed to tackle any gravel terrain with confidence. The wide tire clearance allows mounting:
In the standard setup, it is equipped with Tracer Pro 700x42, perfect for ensuring grip, speed, and comfort on dirt and pavement.

A Complete Guide to Bike Sizes
Foreword: Not all bike sizes are the same
Each type of bike has a specific frame and often uses a different size scale. For example, a road bike with a 54cm frame might be considered a medium size by one brand, but a large by another.
Bicycle adjustment margins
Some types of bikes, like gravel bikes, offer a wide range of adjustments, adapting to different body types. Other models, however, have limitations in this regard. This is an important aspect to consider.
How to use size charts
We've created a simple guide to help you find the right bike size:
- Check out our size charts for each bike type.
- Learn more with specific tips to help you make the right choice.
