Factor SLiCK Disc Frame – Maximum performance for triathlon

The Factor SLiCK Disc is a new generation triathlon frame, designed for those seeking the utmost in aerodynamics, efficiency, and practicality. Made with technologies derived from top-of-the-line models such as OSTRO VAM and HANZ Track, this frame is born from a completely new project, designed to meet the real needs of high-level athletes.

Perfect for Ironman competitions and middle distances, the SLiCK frame integrates smart solutions that make it fast, comfortable, and easy to configure. Integrated storage, internal cable routing, and compatibility with electronic drivetrains are just some of the details that make a difference in races and during preparation.

Aerodynamic and functional design

The geometry and aerodynamic profiles of the frame are optimized to offer maximum speed efficiency, while the storage system integrated into the down tube allows you to carry inner tubes, tire levers, and tools safely and without generating noise. The internal bag is soft, durable, and equipped with a zipper for quick access even without removing it from the frame.

SLiCK Disc frame technical specifications

The frame is built with Toray® and Nippon Graphite® carbon fibers, top-quality materials designed to ensure lightness, stiffness, and durability over time.
The fork is the SLiCK Wide Stance Fork, designed to improve stability and control even at high speeds.

The seatpost is carbon, specific for SLiCK, with an adjustment range of 42 mm. The handlebar is a Vision METRON TFA Aerobar, ideal for the aggressive positions typical of triathlon.
The headset uses CeramicSpeed SLT bearings with a diameter of 1-1/8" at the top and 1-3/8" at the bottom.

Compatibility is guaranteed with electronic drivetrains, and the braking system is disc, supporting rotors up to 160 mm both front and rear. The bottom bracket uses T47 aluminum cups with CeramicSpeed bearings, designed for 30 mm axles.

The front axle is 12x100 mm, while the rear is 12x142 mm. The frame supports 700c wheels and tires up to 32 mm effective width.
The frame weight is only 1,250 grams, making it one of the lightest in its category. The warranty is limited lifetime, confirming the very high build quality.

A Complete Guide to Bike Sizes

Foreword: Not all bike sizes are the same

Each type of bike has a specific frame and often uses a different size scale. For example, a road bike with a 54cm frame might be considered a medium size by one brand, but a large by another.

Bicycle adjustment margins

Some types of bikes, like gravel bikes, offer a wide range of adjustments, adapting to different body types. Other models, however, have limitations in this regard. This is an important aspect to consider.

How to use size charts

We've created a simple guide to help you find the right bike size:

  1. Check out our size charts for each bike type.
  2. Learn more with specific tips to help you make the right choice.

Size Charts: Find Your Perfect Bike

Gravel and road bikes

Sizes are based on the length of the top tube (in cm), which determines the reach of the bike.

Cut Recommended height Horizontal tube length
XS Up to 157 cm 48-50 cm
S 157-167 cm 50-53 cm
M 168-178 cm 53-56 cm
THE 178-185 cm 56-58 cm
XL Over 185cm 58-62 cm

For gravel, measurements may vary slightly due to different geometries, but remain similar.

Mountain bike

MTBs are measured in inches, based on the seat tube.

Cut Recommended height Size (in inches)
XS Up to 157 cm 14"-16"
S 157-167 cm 15"-17"
M 168-178 cm 16"-19"
THE 178-185 cm 18"-20"
XL Over 185cm 20"-23"

Sizes also vary depending on the type of MTB: full-suspension , hardtail or fat bike .

Children's bikes

The size depends on the size of the wheels, often associated with age:

Age Wheel Size
1-3 years 12"
2-4 years 14"
4-6 years 16"
5-8 years 20"
8-10 years 24"
Over 10 years 26"/27.5"

What to do with half measures?

If you are between two sizes:

  • Comfort : Choose the larger size.
  • Performance : Go for the smaller size.

Final tips for choosing

  1. Consult the manufacturer's instructions : Always check the brand's guidelines.
  2. Ask an expert : a specialized workshop can help you choose based on your height, ideal reach and goals.
  3. Test the bike : If possible, test the model you intend to purchase.
