OPTIMIZED CONTACT SURFACE
The large contact surface of the KEO 2 Max immediately identifies the product. Its width has been increased to 60 mm to provide a wider platform and better foot stability during pedaling. This creates a comfort sensation not found in any other pedal. We also aimed to optimize power transfer thanks to its new 500 mm² of usable surface (+25% increase). The shape of the stainless steel plate has been revised to fit that of the cleat and to maintain, regardless of foot position (depending on the angular float used), the same amount of contact for consistent performance. By increasing the usable contact surface of the pedal, without any weight increase, it improves the Power-to-Weight ratio, making the product even better and allowing you to perform at your best.
IMPROVED AXIS
The profile of the KEO 2 Max axle has also been optimized. Built around a large "Chromoly Plus" steel pin, the mechanism consists of an axle with an internal ball bearing and a roller bearing located beneath the contact surface to manage the load and distribute it optimally. A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the roller bearing in place, has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases smoothness, and consequently reduces the geometric tolerances of the pedal body and play. The sole purpose of these combined improvements has been to guarantee you exceptional reliability.
