SpeedFun Furious Evo is a tuning device for ebikes with Shimano motors that allows the removal of the 25 km/h speed limit, fully exploiting the potential of the Shimano EP8 (EP800) motor.

This unlocking device is specifically designed for Shimano EP8 (EP800) motors with mechanical derailleurs (no DI2).

All SpeedFun Furious Evo speed unlocking devices can be activated and deactivated at any time without the need for connections to the light output.

What is the SpeedFun Furious Evo tuning for Shimano EP8 (EP800)?

The function of the Furious Evo tuning device for Shimano EP8 (EP800) is to electronically manipulate the rotation speed of the rear wheel and to communicate to the motor a speed always below 25 km/h in order to achieve a very high real speed with the motor active. The maximum speed limit will therefore be determined by the power of the motor combined with the power exerted by the rider’s legs.

When the device is active, the display will show the exact speed up to about 20 km/h, beyond which a manipulated speed always below 25 km/h will be shown.

SpeedFun Furious Evo can be turned on and off at will and retains the setting even after the ebike is switched off. It can be installed on ebikes with any type of display or side control as well as on ebikes without a display or those equipped with the wireless module EW-EN100.

The new technology of this tuning module for Shimano does not require activation of the motor’s light output nor interventions with diagnostics or apps. It is supplied plug and play, ready to use, and installs very easily thanks to connectors that require no physical modification of the ebike.

This tuning is not compatible with ebikes equipped with Shimano Di2 electronic derailleurs.

WARNING 2
This tuning is compatible only and exclusively with Shimano EP800 motors (not compatible with EP801 and EP600).

Once the SpeedFun speed unlocking device is installed, the electric bicycle, when exceeding the 25 km/h limit, is classified as a moped and as such, if used in public places, requires approval and registration by the Motor Vehicle Department, is subject to road tax and insurance coverage, must have a license plate, cannot be used on cycle paths, and the rider is required to have a license and wear a helmet. Furthermore, riding a motor-assisted bicycle classified as a moped without observing these provisions results in administrative seizure of the vehicle and monetary fines that vary depending on the violation committed. The manufacturer of the speed unlocking system declines all responsibility for any damage caused to pedal-assisted bicycles on which the device is installed as well as for direct or indirect damage to persons or property.
SpeedFun – Phase B snc declines all responsibility for any malfunctions caused by anti-tuning protections that motor manufacturers may activate.
Please note that modifying the bicycle may void the manufacturer’s warranty.

The operation of SpeedFun devices is guaranteed for ebike software versions released up to the date of purchase of the device itself.
If the ebike is subsequently updated with software for which the SpeedFun device was not designed, malfunction may occur.
