What is the SpeedFun Ghost tuning for Mahle Ebikemotion X35 and X35+?

SpeedFun Ghost is an electronic and intelligent tuning device that does not require any external power supply.
It is designed to bypass the 25 km/h speed limit, allowing an increase in the active assistance of the X35 Ebikemotion motor.
Due to the construction features of this type of motor, it is possible to reach speeds of about 29/30 km/h depending on the ebike models.

This tuning for Mahle Ebikemotion X35 and X35+ motors is active from the moment of installation, and if apps or displays are connected, the travel and speed data will be shown inaccurately. Assistance is slightly reduced beyond 25 km/h.

The SpeedFun Ghost tuning for Ebikemotion X35 and X35+ is available in only one version:

  • – Slim version: this round-section version measures ∅14 x 170 mm and is slightly flexible. It can be inserted partially or fully inside the tubes of the frame or fixed externally. This version is the most used and adaptable to most ebikes.

Note: we advise against installing battery extenders on ebikes equipped with Ghost X35 tuning to avoid compatibility issues.

WARNING - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Once the SpeedFun speed unlocking device is installed, the electric bicycle, when exceeding the 25 km/h limit, is equated to a moped and as such, if used in public places, requires approval-registration by the Motor Vehicle Department, is subject to road tax and insurance coverage, must have a license plate, cannot circulate on cycle paths, and the rider is obliged to have a license and must wear a helmet. Furthermore, riding a motor-assisted bicycle equated to a moped without observing these provisions results in administrative seizure of the vehicle and monetary fines that vary depending on the infraction committed. The manufacturer of the speed unlocking system declines all responsibility for any damage caused to pedal-assisted bicycles on which the device is installed as well as for direct or indirect damage to persons or property.
SpeedFun – Phase B snc declines all responsibility for any malfunctions caused by anti-tuning protections that motor manufacturers might activate.
Please note that modifying the bicycle may void the manufacturer's warranty.

SOFTWARE COMPATIBLE WITH SPEEDFUN DEVICES

The operation of SpeedFun devices is guaranteed for ebike software versions released up to the date of purchase of the device itself.
If the ebike is later updated with software for which the SpeedFun device was not designed, it may fail to function.
