The Diverge STR with Future Shock front and rear suspension is comfortable without compromising performance. By suspending the rider, not the bike, you improve control and efficiency while decreasing fatigue, so you can ride longer and faster. The Diverge STR Comp has a FACT 11r carbon fiber frame and a new Shimano GRX 820 groupset with a 10-51 cassette. It features DT G540 wheels with 42mm Specialized Tracer Pro tires, an S-Works Carbon seatpost, an alloy Adventure Gear handlebar, and a Power Sport saddle.

The 20mm of travel on the front wheel and 30mm on the rear absorbs bumps and improves control, efficiency and responsiveness compared to. In terms of power transfer, however, it is very similar to a rigid bike.
The new Diverge STR's hydraulic damping prevents bobbing under load. You won't be thrown out of the saddle when hitting a bump on the trail, and pedaling efficiency remains intact.
The Future Shock is the latest development in Specialized’s ‘Smoother is Faster’ philosophy, which stands for Comfort and Performance. It was created to tackle cobblestones and is perfectly suited to gravel. The 20mm of front travel spares your hands, arms and shoulders, allowing you to pedal with greater comfort.
More capability means riding with more confidence and safety. With the wide contact patch of 47c tires on a 700 wheel or 2.1" on a 27.5" wheel, the Diverge STR is the most capable gravel bike we've ever made.
