In creating the V4Rs, Colnago did not change the shape of its project, but changed its substance, providing Team UAE Emirates with frames with five different laminations to use in the race. The frontal area of ​​the V4Rs was completely revised thanks to tests carried out in the Wind Tunnel at the Polytechnic University of Milan.

In 2019, the historic Asso di Fiori brand presents the V3Rs: an all-round bike with disc brakes designed to perform at its best on every route and condition. The V3Rs has been a resounding success. To date… Is it possible to improve a winning project? Colnago engineers started from this question to try to identify all the details capable of elevating the qualities of the V3Rs. The new Colnago V4Rs was created following five principles of fundamental importance in competitions: aerodynamics, lightness, dynamic rigidity, robustness and ease of maintenance. These pillars have helped define the validation phases of the new Colnago V4Rs.
