The Tacx NEO 2T is compatible with Zwift and comes with pre-installed Zwift Cog and Zwift Click, for an immediate setup and the ability to shift gears virtually in a simple and silent way. Some features require an active Zwift subscription for virtual cycling, racing, and Zwift workouts.

Realistic and natural ride

The Tacx NEO 2T Smart reacts instantly to changes in speed and incline and allows for lateral movement to the right and left while pedaling, following the natural trajectory of the body.

Dynamic inertia technology is designed to replicate the feel of riding on the road. The system monitors mass inertia and compensates for it based on weight, speed, and incline angle, making the ride more realistic during indoor sessions.

To complement the forward/backward movement of the Tacx NEO 2T, it is also possible to pair it with motion plates, available separately. Motion plates allow for more realistic multidirectional movement, helping to maintain a more natural position during training.

The sound of silence: extremely quiet smart trainer

The 32 neodymium magnets of the Tacx NEO 2T significantly reduce air displacement and vibrations, helping to make the trainer extremely quiet.

Reduced vibrations allow you to train indoors while limiting the noise produced during pedaling, even when performing intense sessions.

Road feel

The Tacx NEO 2T can simulate the feel of riding on different types of road surfaces.

This feature can be used with Tacx Training™, Zwift, and other compatible training apps and allows the trainer to vibrate to reproduce the feel of riding on different surfaces, such as cobblestones and gravel.

Zwift experience with Zwift Cog and Zwift Click

The Tacx NEO 2T with Zwift Cog and Zwift Click is designed for riding, training, and racing in the virtual world of Zwift.

Zwift Cog replaces the traditional cassette and is compatible with almost all bikes with 8 to 13 speeds.

Zwift Click allows you to perform 24 virtual, silent, and instantaneous gear shifts. The controller also allows you to steer, navigate menus, provide feedback, and use other functions directly from the handlebars¹.

Zwift Cog also continues to support ERG mode workouts via compatible devices, including Edge® bike computers.

The Zwift Cog and Click system comes pre-installed, offering you a setup ready for use with Zwift.

Race Mode for virtual sprints

Race Mode is designed to offer a particularly fast response during virtual races.

The combination of the trainer structure, 32 neodymium magnets, and the ability to reach a maximum power of 2,200 watts ensures stability even during the most explosive sprints.

Climb simulation up to 25%

The Tacx NEO 2T can simulate climbs with a gradient of up to 25%, allowing you to virtually replicate even particularly challenging routes.

The trainer is also compatible with the Tacx® Alpine incline simulator, available separately, which allows for an even more immersive ride during Zwift training sessions and supports simulated descents of up to -10%¹.

Precise and reliable: measurement within 1%

To accurately track your training and progress, the Tacx NEO 2T measures power, speed, and cadence with an accuracy within 1%.

Power measurement has been improved even at low speeds, offering a more realistic pedal feel during acceleration and on climbs.

No calibration is required: the trainer is designed to provide reliable and consistent measurements without manual calibration procedures.

Standalone mode without power

The Tacx NEO 2T can also be used in standalone mode, without being connected to the power grid.

When it is not connected to power, the trainer simulates flat road cycling: increasing your pedaling speed also increases the resistance.

Before using the Tacx NEO 2T with Zwift Cog and Click

Before starting your workout with the Tacx NEO 2T with Zwift Cog and Click, it is important to know three fundamental elements: freehub body, thru-axle, and cassette. This will allow you to correctly install your bike and get the best possible experience on your smart trainer.

1. Freehub body

The Tacx NEO 2T Smart Trainer comes with the pre-installed Shimano/SRAM 9-11 speed freehub body.

If your bike's groupset is different, you will need to use one of the following components:

• Campagnolo freehub body, suitable for 9-12 speed Campagnolo cassettes

• SRAM XD freehub body, suitable for 11-12 speed SRAM XD-R cassettes

• SHIMANO Micro Spline, suitable for all SHIMANO Micro Spline cassettes

2. Check the thru-axle

The Tacx NEO 2T smart trainer includes the following thru-axles, suitable for bikes with:

• Direct drive quick release thru-axle: 130 mm/135 mm x 5 mm

• Thru-axle with terminal clamping screw: 142 x 12 mm and 148 x 12 mm

For bikes with thru-axle dimensions outside the industry standard, Garmin offers the following product as an additional accessory:

3. Cassette

The Tacx NEO 2T Smart Trainer does not include a cassette.

To achieve maximum consistency in pedaling, you must use a cassette of the same type and gear ratio as you normally use on your road bike.

If you purchase the Tacx NEO 2T with Zwift Cog and Click version, the Zwift Cog is used in place of a cassette and offers compatibility with most 8 to 13-speed bikes, allowing for a ready-to-use setup for Zwift or ROUVY (an active subscription is required).

To identify the correct cassette for your bike, consult your local retailer or check the compatibility of your groupset and drivetrain.
