The SRAM Red Flattop E1 12-speed is a chain designed to deliver the highest levels of performance, quietness, and reliability in high-end road drivetrains. Thanks to the HollowPin structure, lighter and stronger than traditional solid pins, and the lightweight cutouts on the outer and inner plates, SRAM has managed to reduce the weight by 13 grams compared to the previous RED chain, without sacrificing strength and durability.
The Flattop technology allows for a narrower chain, improving quiet operation and increasing structural strength and overall longevity. The chrome-hard plated inner link plates and rollers reduce wear over time, ensuring smooth, precise, and consistent shifting even under load.
