When you are on a difficult descent, the last thing you want to worry about is whether the helmet will protect you enough. On the other hand, wearing a full-face helmet on all trail rides is unthinkable. Together with the creators of MIPS we have created MIPS SL - an ultra-light and extremely comfortable version. MIPS SL basically integrates MIPS technology into the padding of the helmet itself. The minimalist fastening system provides 10 to 15mm of rotation in each direction, thus offering the same protective benefits as other MIPS systems, while at the same time being very light and comfortable.
The wide coverage of the Ambush is made of EPS foam with different densities and optimized to manage impacts, internally reinforced by a spider web (Matrix) in Aramid. Even with this added protection, the profile is slim and comfortable.
The Mindset 360 Fit positioning system has five height positions, while the integrated adjuster allows fine adjustment 'on the fly'. The Ambush with our 4th Dimension Cooling is also very ventilated thanks to the large air intakes and vents, to avoid heat stroke on the hottest days. The visor with micro adjustment provides the housing for the dh type mask.
