Specialized works with the world's fastest athletes to create products that help them win races. They then make those products available to everyone, so everyone can enjoy the same performance advantages as the pros.
The TT5 helmet is the perfect example of the Made in Racing approach. Remco Evenepoel and Kasper Asgreen spent countless hours in the wind tunnel to collaborate on the creation of the fastest TT helmet Specialized has ever developed.
Using CFD modeling, the design team gave the TT helmet a new shape, bringing the rear part closer to the athlete's shoulders, thus reducing the vortex that creates air resistance.
The S-Works TT5 helmet comes with a Class 1 optics goggle for zero distortion when looking down the road, unlike traditional lenses that are typically made from a single piece of clear plastic. The hydrophobic and anti-fog (EN 166) coating on the lens helps with visibility in changing weather during the race.
The occipital adjustment allows for a personalized fit, and the angle of the helmet can also be adjusted for compatibility with glasses. The TriFix system now has thinner straps to avoid any irritation.
MIPS Node Air technology is integrated into the padding with a thin layer designed to dissipate rotational forces. Perforations have been added to further improve comfort and performance.
