Jacket inspired by the competitive world of ski mountaineering, where athletes are obsessed with weight more than us cyclists and where thermal insulation is not pure comfort but becomes a question of life and death. And since backcountry skiing is an insanely aerobic sport, breathability is extremely important.

The construction of this jacket is similar to that of a mountain shell, with an insulation layer sandwiched between the outer and inner fabric. Unlike most mountain jackets, the fabric is not completely windproof, however, it guarantees good permeability.
The small amount of air that filters into the jacket captures moisture and helps it evaporate more efficiently than any other fabric on the market. The middle layer is a soft polypropylene insulation: partly because it is incredibly light (specific gravity of 0.6 grams), but also because it does not accumulate moisture from either sweat or rain. These fabrics with limited stretch require a new cut, which is why this is a more comfortable fit than your racing jacket. If your winter goals are to set new personal bests on Strava rather than win races in the spring and summer, it's best to opt for the Alpha Light Jacket or a Perfetto. But if your goals go beyond a virtual finish line, this jacket will enhance your winter riding.

  • 3-layer construction with engineered air passage, offers the best combination of warmth, breathability and lightness.
  • External layer of high quality Japanese Nylon with structured surface and water-repellent treatment.
  • Very thermal and breathable synthetic polypropylene padding layer.
  • The pleated side panels, on the elbows and around the wrists, are designed for a snug fit that adapts well to movement.
  • 3 rear pockets with reflective inserts in the lower part.
  • Internal band to block the air when closed or for greater ventilation if left open.
  • Weight: 422 gr.
  • Black colour.
