FERNWEG – aero meets performance
Based on months of wind tunnel testing and collaboration with aerodynamic specialists and professional athletes, the FERNWEG carbon wheel series aims for a reference position in time trial racing and triathlon. Based on the MEILENSTEIN, Lightweight was able to develop a new construction method that resulted in a wheelset that optimally combines aerodynamics, insensitivity to sidewinds, stiffness, handling and weight.
The low rolling resistance brings the cyclist to the finish line more easily and increases both speed and effectiveness. Crosswinds do not disturb the FERNWEG wheelset and allow athletes to summon maximum performance in the aero position. Where athletes normally have to leave the aero position, the FERNWEG rider still stands on the handlebars and pedals away from the competition.
