Cervélo S5 Force AXS E1 Bicycle
Cervélo S5 Force AXS: WorldTour-level aerodynamic performance
The Cervélo S5 Force AXS E1 is the aero road bike designed for cyclists who seek the ultimate in speed, efficiency, and performance. An evolution of one of the most iconic models in racing, the new S5 is born from experience gained in WorldTour competitions, where it has achieved victories and prestigious jerseys with champions like Wout van Aert and Simon Yates.
Thanks to a completely redesigned frame, even more advanced aerodynamics, and high-level components, the Cervélo S5 Force AXS represents one of the best aero bicycles available for races, granfondos, and high-speed training.
Advanced aerodynamics for even greater speed
The new Cervélo S5 was developed in a wind tunnel to further reduce aerodynamic drag.
Compared to the previous generation, it offers a 6.3 Watt advantage (tests conducted at 30 mph), a result achieved through significant redesign of the bicycle's front end.
Key innovations include:
- new Bayonet fork with enlarged legs;
- completely redesigned head tube;
- new generation integrated cockpit;
- improved integration between rear wheel and seat tube;
- optimized profiles to reduce airflow turbulence.
Tests carried out by Cervélo also show an advantage of at least 5 Watts compared to leading competitor aero models.
Lighter, same stiffness
In addition to aerodynamic improvements, the new S5 has been lightened by 124 grams compared to the previous model.
Optimization of the carbon layup and components has made it possible to reduce weight without compromising stiffness, steering precision, stability, and responsiveness.
The total weight of the bicycle is 7.68 kg.
Cervélo HB19 One-Piece Integrated Cockpit
The Cervélo S5 Force AXS features the new Cervélo HB19 Carbon integrated handlebar, developed according to the Plus-Four concept.
The top grip is 4 cm narrower than the drop grip (e.g., 38/42 cm), allowing for:
- improved aerodynamics at high speeds;
- increased stability during sprints and descents;
- a more efficient position without sacrificing control.
The cockpit complies with UCI regulations and is available in nine different configurations to ensure a personalized fit.
Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero Wheels
The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels were developed together with the S5 frame directly in the wind tunnel.
The integration between the rear wheel profile and the seat tube improves airflow, reducing overall drag.
Compared to the previous Reserve 52|63, this set guarantees a 3 Watt advantage, while maintaining the same weight.
Optimized comfort and fitting
To fully exploit the aerodynamic potential of the S5, a perfect position is essential.
For this reason, Cervélo offers nine combinations of integrated handlebars and stems, allowing the authorized dealer to configure the bicycle according to the cyclist's needs at no additional cost.

A Complete Guide to Bike Sizes
Foreword: Not all bike sizes are the same
Each type of bike has a specific frame and often uses a different size scale. For example, a road bike with a 54cm frame might be considered a medium size by one brand, but a large by another.
Bicycle adjustment margins
Some types of bikes, like gravel bikes, offer a wide range of adjustments, adapting to different body types. Other models, however, have limitations in this regard. This is an important aspect to consider.
How to use size charts
We've created a simple guide to help you find the right bike size:
- Check out our size charts for each bike type.
- Learn more with specific tips to help you make the right choice.
Size Charts: Find Your Perfect Bike
Gravel and road bikes
Sizes are based on the length of the top tube (in cm), which determines the reach of the bike.
| Cut | Recommended height | Horizontal tube length |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Up to 157 cm | 48-50 cm |
| S | 157-167 cm | 50-53 cm |
| M | 168-178 cm | 53-56 cm |
| THE | 178-185 cm | 56-58 cm |
| XL | Over 185cm | 58-62 cm |
For gravel, measurements may vary slightly due to different geometries, but remain similar.
Mountain bike
MTBs are measured in inches, based on the seat tube.
| Cut | Recommended height | Size (in inches) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Up to 157 cm | 14"-16" |
| S | 157-167 cm | 15"-17" |
| M | 168-178 cm | 16"-19" |
| THE | 178-185 cm | 18"-20" |
| XL | Over 185cm | 20"-23" |
Sizes also vary depending on the type of MTB: full-suspension , hardtail or fat bike .
Children's bikes
The size depends on the size of the wheels, often associated with age:
| Age | Wheel Size |
|---|---|
| 1-3 years | 12" |
| 2-4 years | 14" |
| 4-6 years | 16" |
| 5-8 years | 20" |
| 8-10 years | 24" |
| Over 10 years | 26"/27.5" |
What to do with half measures?
If you are between two sizes:
- Comfort : Choose the larger size.
- Performance : Go for the smaller size.
