Cervelo S5 Red AXS Bicycle - Black
Cervélo S5 Red AXS E1 Bicycle
Cervélo S5 Red AXS: the aero road bike designed to win
The Cervélo S5 Red AXS represents the evolution of the renowned Canadian brand's aero bike, engineered to deliver absolute top-tier performance for the most demanding cyclists. Designed for competitions, granfondos, and high-speed use, the new S5 combines advanced aerodynamics, lightness, and stiffness in a frame developed alongside WorldTour professionals.
Victories in major international competitions, with athletes of the caliber of Wout van Aert and Simon Yates, confirm the quality of a project that has become a benchmark in the aero road bike segment.
Uncompromising Aerodynamics
The new Cervélo S5 has been completely redesigned to further reduce aerodynamic drag. Wind tunnel tests show a performance increase of 6.3 Watts compared to the previous generation (tests conducted at 30 mph), thanks to significant development work focused primarily on the front of the bicycle.
Key new features include:
- new Bayonet fork with enlarged fork legs;
- redesigned head tube;
- fully integrated cockpit;
- improved integration between seat tube and rear wheel;
- optimized profiles to reduce air flow turbulence.
According to tests conducted by Cervélo, the new S5 is also at least 5 Watts faster than the main competing models in the same category.
Faster and Lighter
In addition to aerodynamic improvements, the new generation of the S5 sees a reduction of 124 grams compared to the previous model.
This result was achieved through the optimization of carbon layup and hardware, while maintaining the same values of stiffness, steering precision, stability, and responsiveness that have made this platform famous.
The total weight of the bicycle is only 7.3 kg.
New Cervélo HB19 One-Piece Cockpit
One of the most distinctive features of the new S5 is the new Cervélo HB19 Carbon integrated handlebar, designed according to the Plus-Four concept.
The upper part of the handlebar is 4 cm narrower than the drops (e.g., 38/42 cm), allowing the cyclist to:
- adopt a more aerodynamic position while pedaling;
- maintain greater control during sprints;
- increase stability on high-speed descents.
All measurements comply with UCI regulations, and the system allows for cockpit replacement with a different size within the first 60 days of purchase, to achieve the best possible fitting.
Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero Wheels
The Cervélo S5 Red AXS is equipped with the new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheelset, jointly developed by Cervélo and Reserve directly in the wind tunnel alongside the frame.
The combination of frame profiles and the asymmetry of the rear wheel further reduces aerodynamic drag.
Compared to the previous Reserve 52|63, the new set offers a 3 Watt advantage, while maintaining the same overall weight.
Customized Fitting
For maximum aerodynamic efficiency, a correct riding position is essential.
For this reason, Cervélo offers nine different integrated handlebar and stem combinations, allowing the authorized dealer to configure the bike according to the cyclist's needs at no additional cost.

A Complete Guide to Bike Sizes
Foreword: Not all bike sizes are the same
Each type of bike has a specific frame and often uses a different size scale. For example, a road bike with a 54cm frame might be considered a medium size by one brand, but a large by another.
Bicycle adjustment margins
Some types of bikes, like gravel bikes, offer a wide range of adjustments, adapting to different body types. Other models, however, have limitations in this regard. This is an important aspect to consider.
How to use size charts
We've created a simple guide to help you find the right bike size:
- Check out our size charts for each bike type.
- Learn more with specific tips to help you make the right choice.
Size Charts: Find Your Perfect Bike
Gravel and road bikes
Sizes are based on the length of the top tube (in cm), which determines the reach of the bike.
| Cut | Recommended height | Horizontal tube length |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Up to 157 cm | 48-50 cm |
| S | 157-167 cm | 50-53 cm |
| M | 168-178 cm | 53-56 cm |
| THE | 178-185 cm | 56-58 cm |
| XL | Over 185cm | 58-62 cm |
For gravel, measurements may vary slightly due to different geometries, but remain similar.
Mountain bike
MTBs are measured in inches, based on the seat tube.
| Cut | Recommended height | Size (in inches) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Up to 157 cm | 14"-16" |
| S | 157-167 cm | 15"-17" |
| M | 168-178 cm | 16"-19" |
| THE | 178-185 cm | 18"-20" |
| XL | Over 185cm | 20"-23" |
Sizes also vary depending on the type of MTB: full-suspension , hardtail or fat bike .
Children's bikes
The size depends on the size of the wheels, often associated with age:
| Age | Wheel Size |
|---|---|
| 1-3 years | 12" |
| 2-4 years | 14" |
| 4-6 years | 16" |
| 5-8 years | 20" |
| 8-10 years | 24" |
| Over 10 years | 26"/27.5" |
What to do with half measures?
If you are between two sizes:
- Comfort : Choose the larger size.
- Performance : Go for the smaller size.
