The main feature of the PowerMeter Origin is compatibility with all frame types. We achieved this by installing the spider directly on the axle. All this to provide stiffness and best transfer power.

The PowerMeter9 is designed to operate without a magnet (default option). If a magnet is present on the frame, it causes no issues. If you prefer to use it, simply set it via the App.

Axles, crankarms, and chainrings can be configured to meet your particular needs. If these change over time, they can be easily modified or upgraded.

The PowerMeter Origin Road Carbon is available with three different crankarm sets:

  • SRM Composite Crankarms, made of carbon with an aluminum core in critical points. An excellent compromise between weight, stiffness, and price. Single crankarm weight 171 g (including screws, weight varies depending on chosen size).

SRM is proud to introduce to the market the first modular PowerMeter called Origin. The main feature of the new Origin PowerMeter is compatibility with all frame types. We achieved this by installing the spider directly on the axle. All this to provide stiffness and best transfer power. You can choose crankarms in aluminum or carbon, and they are easily interchangeable: you can have your super lightweight racing set and your training set, or you can change the length according to your needs.

We just need to know on which bicycle or bicycles you want to mount it, and we will find the right crankarm and PowerMeter configuration for you.

SRM produces the axle in various sizes so that a PowerMeter can be mounted on different types of frames. Now you can have a single PowerMeter for road, MTB, track, and cyclocross bikes! 

SRM offers Origin in two versions: one in carbon fiber weighing 599 grams (including 172.5 mm chainrings and crankarms), representing the lightest and most technologically advanced PowerMeter we have ever produced; one in aluminum featuring the same technology but at a more affordable price. Unlike our competitors, our product is manufactured in Germany to ensure the quality customers expect from SRM.
