With FURTHER DRIVE technology, consisting of two new technical features that both aim to ensure that the OSPW X increases the transmission group's ability to operate efficiently over time.
Active debris removal feature (ADR): a unique new design of the dust cover that is securely anchored in a recess in the pulley, completely enclosing the bearing. This is paired with a blade groove structure that surrounds the dust cover and, during the rotation of the pulley, dynamically extracts debris from the pulley.
The ADR is paired with our new solid disc pulleys with 14 and 20 teeth, simply called ALPHA.
The ALPHA disc features a two-piece structure. A profile with narrow and wide teeth separated, made from a composite material that offers prolonged protection against wear and noise reduction. In addition to a solid aluminum disc that eliminates the potential for external objects getting stuck between the pulley spokes, while simultaneously increasing the strength and rigidity of the pulley design.
The FURTHER DRIVE technology is combined with a completely new cage structure that uses an augmented material structure - without adding unnecessary volume - which makes it perfectly in line with the robustness for which the Eagle drivetrain group is celebrated. But the real value lies in the ability of the FURTHER DRIVE technology to deliver top-level performance deep into races or the season when cyclists need it most.
