WHICH IMPACTS? : Compared to the previous model, the Epic 8 absorbs 12% more impact forces and vibrations, so you feel less tired and can better use your energy to push hard on the pedals.
RIDE DYNAMICS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team has developed a custom calibration for the Epic 8's shock, whose characteristics elevate the holistic riding experience. The specific calibration developed together with the lever ratios and the renewed kinematics improve driving exponentially.
BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: By optimizing the kinematics of the Epic 8, the Specialized Ride Dynamics Team has reduced the movement induced during pedaling by 20% while keeping the suspension active for more effective shock management. Thus the rider is able to maintain the most efficient pedaling position. The result is the most efficient full suspension we've ever made.
MORE WITH LESS: With the Epic 8 we haven't added a single gram of weight to improve its features. All models now feature SWAT 4.0 and an integrated steering lock to prevent damage to the chassis in the event of a slide.
