To use the tensioner, simply remove the bicycle's rear wheel, insert the thru-axle from the opposite side of the drivetrain, and slide the Pocket Sprocket onto the 12mm thru-axle. Then, simply place the chain in the appropriate groove and secure the thru-axle as you would during normal wheel installation.
