The SmartNET Silica tread compound was developed by Pirelli based on its experience in motorsport, and guarantees superior grip on dry and wet surfaces. The elongated shape of the silica molecules allows the compound to be oriented in the rolling direction, improving driveability and smoothness.
The Armor Tech structure offers high resistance to punctures, thanks to the use of Kevlar fibers dispersed in the tread compound. This technology was developed by Pirelli for racing cars, and has also proven to be very effective on bicycle tyres.
