SpeedFun Ribelle is a tuning for Bosch ebikes that allows you to remove the speed block at 25 kmH and increase the active assistance up to speeds that can exceed 60 kmH, fully exploiting the potential of the engine.
This unlocking device is compatible with Bosch gen.2, gen.3 and gen.4 engines (including Performance CX 2020 and 2021) and with Intuvia, Purion, Nyon (including new Nyon 2021) and Kiox displays.

What is Bosch SpeedFun Ribelle ebike tuning?
SpeedFun Ribelle is a tuning for Bosch ebikes that allows you to increase the speed of the ebike by removing the block set at 25 kmH. With SpeedFun Ribelle, active assistance is increased up to speeds that can exceed 60 kmH, making full use of the engine's potential.
This device is compatible with Intuvia, Purion, Nyon (including new Nyon 2021) and Kiox displays, and can be installed on Bosch Gen. 2 engines (Active, Performance and Performance CX 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020), Gen. 3 (Active Line, Active Line Plus 2018, 2019 and 2020) and Gen. 4 (Performance CX and Performance Line 2020 and 2021).
SpeedFun Ribelle is a very small device, measuring only 38 x 16.5 x 7.5 mm and being equipped with original connectors, it does not alter the electrical resistance and water tightness characteristics.
The Bosch SpeedFun Ribelle ebike tuning always shows both the real speed and distance on the display and can be activated or deactivated by pressing a simple sequence of buttons directly from the ebike handlebar control. The activation and deactivation of the device is indicated on the display.
SpeedFun Ribelle for Bosch thanks to its particular operating algorithm comes into operation when reaching 16 km/h without the cyclist feeling any difference in assistance. It does not intervene in any way at low speeds. This important measure has been implemented to avoid power losses, failures or "hiccups" in operation.
SpeedFun Ribelle for Bosch is available in two versions :
- – Rebel for standard Bosch: allows the ebike to be unlocked above 25 km/h while leaving the data unchanged on the display.
- – Ribelle Plus for Bosch: same functions as the standard version but in addition:
- – Max speed setting: you can set the max speed. beyond which the engine stops assisting.
- – “Anti-theft” function: a unique key sequence can be activated for each device to be inserted within 10sec of turning on the ebike. If the sequence is not entered correctly the ebike will turn off and will not assist.
- – Changing the output: it is possible to choose between 3 different pre-set levels which vary the response of the engine.
Important Notice:
COBI display and SmartHub: the Ribelle Plus tuning device is compatible with the COBI s SmartHub display but only allows the activation and deactivation of the unlocking, all other features cannot be managed.
“Customized pedaling/assistance customization” mode: the Ribelle tuning device (both standard and plus) is not compatible with this feature offered by Bosch on Nyon displays (including the new Nyon 2021).

This device is not compatible with Bosch “smart system” engines.

ATTENTION - IMPORTANT NOTICE
Once the SpeedFun speed release device has been installed, the electric bicycle, exceeding the 25 kmH limit, is equated to a moped and as such, if it circulates in public places, it requires approval-registration by the Civil Motorization Authority, it is subject to the payment of road tax and insurance coverage, it must have a license plate, it cannot circulate on cycle paths and the driver is obliged to drive with a license and must use a helmet. Furthermore, driving a motorized bicycle equivalent to a moped that does not comply with the aforementioned provisions entails the administrative seizure of the vehicle and financial penalties that vary depending on the infringement committed. The manufacturer of the speed release system declines any responsibility relating to any damage caused to the pedal-assisted bicycles on which the device is mounted as well as direct or indirect damage to people or things.
SpeedFun – Phase B snc declines all responsibility for any anomalies caused by anti-tuning defenses that engine manufacturers may activate.
Please remember that modifications to the bicycle could invalidate the manufacturer's warranty.
SOFTWARE COMPATIBLE WITH SPEEDFUN DEVICES
The operation of the SpeedFun devices is guaranteed for the software versions of the ebikes released up to the date of purchase of the device itself.
If the ebike is subsequently updated with software for which the SpeedFun device was not designed, the device may not function.
Before updating your engine you need to check compatibility with your SpeedFun device.
