SpeedFun Ribelle is a tuning for Bosch ebikes that allows you to remove the speed limit of 25 kmH and increase the active assistance up to speeds that can exceed 60 KmH, fully exploiting the potential of the motor.

This unlocking device is compatible with Bosch gen.2, gen.3, and gen.4 (BES2) motors equipped with Intuvia, Purion, Nyon displays (including new Nyon 2021) and Kiox.

What is tuning for Bosch SpeedFun Ribelle ebikes?

SpeedFun Ribelle is a tuning for Bosch e-bikes that allows you to increase the speed of the e-bike by removing the limit set at 25 km/h. With SpeedFun Ribelle, the active assistance is increased to speeds that can exceed 60 km/h, fully exploiting the potential of the motor.

This device is compatible with Intuvia, Purion, Nyon (including new Nyon 2021) and Kiox displays. It can be installed on Bosch (BES2) motors:

  • – Gen. 2 (Active, Performance and Performance CX 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020)
  • – Gen. 3 (Active Line, Active Line Plus 2018, 2019 and 2020)
  • – Gen. 4 (Performance CX and Performance Line since 2020)

SpeedFun Ribelle is a very small device, measuring only 38 x 16.5 x 7.5 mm and being equipped with original connectors, it does not alter the electrical resistance characteristics and water tightness.

The tuning for Bosch SpeedFun ebike Ribelle always shows both the real speed and the distance traveled on the display and can be activated or deactivated by pressing a simple key sequence directly from the ebike's handlebar control. The activation and deactivation of the device is indicated on the display.

SpeedFun Ribelle for Bosch, thanks to its particular operating algorithm, activates upon reaching 16 km/h without the cyclist noticing any difference in assistance. It does not intervene in any way at low speeds. This important feature has been implemented to avoid power losses, dropouts, or "stuttering" operations.

SpeedFun Ribelle for Bosch is available in two versions:

  • – standard version: allows unlocking the ebike beyond 25 Km/h while leaving the data unchanged on the display.
  • – plus version: same functions as the standard version but additionally:
    • Max speed setting: it is possible to set the max speed beyond which the motor stops assisting.
    • "Anti-theft function": a unique key sequence can be activated for each device to be entered within 10 seconds of turning on the e-bike. If the sequence is not entered correctly, the e-bike will turn off and will not assist.
    • Modification of the delivery: it is possible to choose from 3 different preset levels that vary the engine's response.

Important Notice:
Display COBI e SmartHub: the Ribelle Plus tuning device is compatible with COBI's SmartHub display but only allows the activation and deactivation of the unlock feature; all other features cannot be managed.
"Customized pedaling mode/custom assistance customization": the Ribelle tuning device (both standard and plus) is not compatible with this feature offered by Bosch on Nyon displays (including the new Nyon 2021).

This device is not compatible with Bosch "smart system" motors.

WARNING - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Once the SpeedFun speed unlock device is installed, the electric bicycle, exceeding the limit of 25 km/h, is equated to a moped and as such, if it circulates in public places, it requires homologation-registration by the Civil Motorization, is subject to the payment of the circulation tax and insurance coverage, must have a license plate, cannot circulate on bike paths, and the driver is required to have a driving license and must wear a helmet. Furthermore, riding a motorized bicycle equated to a moped that does not comply with the aforementioned provisions results in the administrative seizure of the vehicle and monetary penalties that vary depending on the violation committed. The manufacturer of the speed unlock system disclaims any responsibility for any damage caused to the pedal-assisted bicycles on which the device is installed as well as for direct or indirect damage to persons or property.
SpeedFun – Phase B snc disclaims any responsibility for any anomalies caused by the anti-tuning defenses that engine manufacturers may activate.
Please note that modifying the bicycle may void the manufacturer's warranty.

 

SOFTWARE COMPATIBLE WITH SPEEDFUN DEVICES

The operation of SpeedFun devices is guaranteed for the software versions of the e-bikes released up to the date of purchase of the device itself.
If the e-bike is subsequently updated with software for which the SpeedFun device was not designed, it may not function properly.
Before updating your engine, it is necessary to check compatibility with your SpeedFun device.
